This algorithm calculates absolute Energy Capacity (kWh) based on the specific Depth of Discharge (DoD) characteristics and efficiencies of the chosen chemistry. However, a safe and fully functional battery bank must also be evaluated against its maximum Peak Power Load (kW) (C-Rating).

A bank sized strictly for energy storage may fail catastrophically or trigger inverter shut-downs if its aggregate discharge limit cannot support the inrush current of inductive loads (e.g., HVAC compressors or water pumps). Final system architecture must be verified by a certified solar engineer.
